A leading conservative congressman made the unlikely declaration Friday that he?s a big fan of Taylor Swift ? but not of her taste in boyfriends.
Price confessed to his unexpected musical idol at a National Review breakfast Friday after he proclaimed his love of country music. The Georgia Republican, a leader of U.S. House conservatives, is reportedly weighing a run for the U.S. Senate in 2014.
"I'm a big Taylor Swift fan," Price said, according to Buzzfeed. "Don't tell anybody,? he quickly added with a laugh.
But the GOP congressman said he?s not as enamored of Swift?s choice of men ? specifically her ex-beau Conor Kennedy, son of environmental activisit Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
"I prayed when she started dating a Kennedy that that would end,? he said.
When reports of his confession broke, Price wasn?t ashamed to declare his fandom to the world.
